DAILY LIFE CAPSULE: LIFE BAKERS DAILY DEVOTIONAL

BIBLE READING
2 Chronicles 20:14–22:- “As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men… and they were defeated.”
Psalm 24:8:- “Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.”
I welcome you to our lesson on Glory In the Midst Of Warfare.
Spiritual warfare is real. But so is glory warfare—where battles become arenas for God’s majesty to shine.
We often think glory comes after the battle is over. But Scripture shows that God’s glory is often most visible when warfare is most intense.
💡Warfare is not the absence of glory—it’s the proving ground for it.
In warfare:
You learn to worship with tears
You hear God’s voice more clearly
You grow in authority
You see God fight for you
The King of glory is also the Lord of hosts—the Commander of angel armies. His glory is not fragile. It shields, fights, and prevails.
When we respond to warfare with:
Worship instead of worry
Declarations instead of doubt
Praise instead of panic
…we step into victory by glory, not by striving.
God may not always remove the fight, but He will glorify Himself in it.
Biblical Examples
Jehoshaphat’s Worship Warfare – 2 Chronicles 20:- When Israel was surrounded by vast armies, King Jehoshaphat didn’t call for swords—he called for singers. As the people worshiped in faith, God sent ambushes and defeated the enemy. The glory didn’t come after the victory—it came in the midst of the threat.
Worship shifted the battle atmosphere.
Glory descended in the middle of fear, not after the danger was gone.
The battle became a stage for glory to be revealed.
Elisha and the Heavenly Army – 2 Kings 6:15–17:- Surrounded by enemy forces, Elisha’s servant panicked. But Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so he may see.” And suddenly, the servant saw chariots of fire—heaven’s glory army—surrounding the enemy.
God’s glory didn’t remove the threat—it revealed the truth behind it. In warfare, we must see from the glory realm, not through fear.
DAILY SPIRITUAL TASK
“Worship In Warfare”
Identify:
One battle or area of resistance you’re facing (spiritual, relational, emotional).
Write down:
A Scripture promise connected to that battle.
One way you will praise God today in the face of it.
Declare aloud:
“The Lord of glory is also the Lord of battle. This warfare will become a testimony of His majesty.”
MEMORY VERSE
“Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.” – Psalm 24:8 (NIV)
PRAYER POINTS
Father, I worship You in the middle of the fight. I may not see the outcome yet, but I see You—the King of glory, strong and mighty. Fight for me. Reveal Your power in the battlefield. In Jesus’ name.
Holy Spirit, remind me that I’m not alone in this battle. Let me see from heaven’s perspective. May the weight of Your glory crush fear and doubt. Turn this warfare into a witness. In Jesus’ name.
